Camp Mission: Preparing you for the 360 days you’re not at camp!
Preparation is the process of making ready. What does it look like to make ready the Christian life? The Scriptures teach us to consider who we are, where we are going, and how we are going to get there. The everyday struggle with identity finds its remedy in Christ. The ongoing struggle for direction finds its focus in Christ. The motive and mission of laboring in the harvest finds its meaning in Christ. The New Covenant in the blood of Christ is our identity, our compass, and our drive. May the newness of our new birth find us in step with the myriads of saints gone by that have prepared and executed their allotted handbreadths for the cause of the Kingdom, and may preparing students for the 360 be an intentional effort in training the forgiven for faithfulness.
This summer Onecamp 360 has commissioned our trusted team of ministers to deliver to our students biblical training to further establish a foundational biblical worldview.
2022 Theme: OTHER
Aliens? Yes. Strangers? Yes. Not of this world? Yes. BUT our earthly society and our heavenly citizenship are not just marked with different behaviors, t-shirt slogans, and catch-phrases, we are categorically OTHER because we belong to Jesus. Spiritually speaking, we are other like Jesus is other. Strategically and supernaturally we have been set apart and distinctively gifted and equipped for a kingdom mission. We serve a King we have not seen and proclaim a kingdom yet to be realized, although it is at hand.Through sanctification we become increasingly unique as the true words of our Lord and King define us and order our steps.
It was no mistake that Christ prayed for us in this way, and as we peer into the “High Priestly Prayer” of John 17 we will see that we are set free knowing we are unhindered and empowered to live a life that is OTHER when we grow in our dependence on Him. To truly be in this world and not of this world demands that our perspective, pursuits, and profession be as OTHER as Jesus is.
